The city council this morning passed the nationwide ordinance “work or go to jail” by a unanimous vote. The new ordinance will go into effect in 10 days. The ordinance requires that men between the ages of 18 and 60 must work at least six hours a day five days each week, with the exception of tourists, persons on vacation and students.

C.L. Sackett, county chairman of the Wyoming Anti-Saloon League, said today that Sheridan County will vote dry on Nov. 5 with a majority of 80 to 90 percent.

Mr. and Mrs. C.C. Riley and Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Baird left Sheridan yesterday for Denver, to drive two new Cadillacs overland back to this city.
