News was received in the city this morning that another Sheridan boy, Leo Mooney, was on the ill-fated San Diego when the ship was presumably sunk by a mine. Mooney’s mother received a wire stating that he had been wounded by the explosion but that he had been landed ashore.

Elsie Pelissier has filed her petition with the county clerk for the office of clerk of court on the Republican ticket.

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Zuck are in the city from Ucross. Mr. Zuck leaves with the draft contingent tomorrow.

Men’s straw hats, values up to $1.50, are now 39 cents at Sheridan’s Golden Rule store.
