The knitting machine given by the Eaton Brothers to Sheridan’s fire department is in operation, and a number of pairs of socks have been turned out for the boys overseas.

Two Sheridan carpenters have gone to Laramie to work on the government buildings at the university. The buildings will house the boys being sent into training there.

Starting today, the Brown Drug store will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 and 4:30 p.m. to 7 on Sundays, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturdays.

A license to wed has been issued to Warren B. Given and Nellie Warriner. Both are of Johnson county.
