A Look Back in Time: Sept. 24, 1918

Final arrangements have been made for the great Liberty Loan parade to be held here Sept. 28. The event promises to be the greatest patriotic demonstration ever staged in Wyoming.

Two flags costing $20 have been presented to the Sheridan company of home guards. The flags were raised on a subscription list circulated by Miss Lena Martin, who’s a waitress in the Burlington cafe. One is a company flag and the other an American flag.

Gustave Karl Pauling, a stranger in Sheridan, was found lying dead on Main street near the Shirley hotel. The body was found in the middle of the night.
