The patriotic people of Sheridan County have over-subscribed their quota of the Fourth Liberty Loan by approximately 30 percent.

Matt Koxtinbour is in the county jail to answer a beer-selling charge. He was brought in from Carneyville by Undersheriff Kirby on a bench warrant.

Five Sheridan county mothers have registered for the prizes announced on Labor Day to go to the women in the county having the larger number of sons in the service.

City officials investigated a report tonight that a woman clerk in one of the stores in Sheridan was working while suffering from influenza. They saw to it that the store was carefully fumigated and disinfected.
