Twenty-one new cases of the influenza were reported yesterday for the county at the office of Dr. Hurd, county health officer. Six deaths were reported in the 24 hours ending at noon today, two in the city and four in the county.
Fort Mackenzie has been under inspection the past two days by officers sent out by the quartermaster’s department with a view to its adaptation to some of the war uses of the government.
Mr. R.H. Powers of Passaic is in the city for a few days attending to business.
