Salvation Army kettles will appear on the street corners of Sheridan next Saturday to welcome contributions to be used in the purchase of Christmas gifts for the city’s poor. It is expected that $200 to $300 will be raised.

Captain E.G. Denison has returned to Sheridan from Fort Riley and Camp Funston and has already been briefly engaged in his former profession as physician.

E.C. Green of Verona is in Sheridan on business today.

Two of E.W. Gollings’ paintings of the old west have been hung in the senate chamber and the other two will be placed in the house chamber at Cheyenne, probably this week.
