Smith Brown met death beneath a fall of earth sometime between Saturday night and yesterday afternoon on the homestead claim of William Price, about six or eight miles southeast of Sheridan. His body was discovered yesterday almost completely covered by several tons of earth.
Samuel M. Breckenridge, a pioneer resident of Sheridan, died at 7:30 o’clock last night at the state hospital. He was 90 years old and had lived in Sheridan since 1890.
