Emma, the wife of Frank Gassin, a young farmer who has a claim near Arvada, died from influenza complications this afternoon at the family home on Tenth street in Sheridan. She leaves two small children.

Sheridan poultry fanciers won several awards at the poultry show in Butte, Mont., last week. Among them was W.L. Wright, whose White Wyandottes tooks first on cock, first on cockerel, first hen and fifth pullet.

Esther Case and Lillian Sneider, who teach school in the vicinity of Clearmont, were visitors in Sheridan yesterday.

Rev. C.F. Fisher of the Congregational church is detained at his home by illness. There were no services today at his church.
