Sheridan’s city council is considering breaking a contract under which the city furnishes the Burlington railroad with one-third of its entire water supply. The city entered into the contract in 1905, agreeing to provide the water for a consideration of $75 a month, or $900 a year. It has recently been determined that the railroad company is entitled to 1 million gallons of water a day for about $2.50 under that contract.
