An ordinance recently passed by the city of Sheridan, providing for a separate assessment to be made by the city on the full valuation of property, is invalid. The ordinance was passed with the object of raising additional revenue to offset the loss of revenue attending the closing of saloons on July 1.
The Commercial Club is planning a campaign for new members and for the new budget system. The campaign will start on May 12 and last three days.
As of this morning, $421,600 has been subscribed to the Victory Liberty loan campaign in Sheridan county.
