A Look Back in Time: June 10, 1919

Discovery of gold, some of which assays as high as $1,000 per ton, in the Big Horn mountains near Hyattville, immediately southwest of Sheridan, has led to the belief that the famous Spanish Cabin gold mines have been discovered.

Employees of the local offices of the Western Union Telegraph company have received strike orders, effective tomorrow. It was stated unofficially that the local employees are still undecided whether to strike.

W.E. Bowman and Walter Jones of Dayton were in Sheridan on business today.
