An effort is being made to secure emergency rates for shipments of cattle to the states just east of Wyoming where pasturage is available in order that the losses from local conditions shall be no greater than absolutely inevitable. The situation in Sheridan is very serious due to lack of water.
George Grace and family have moved from 158 W. Fourth street to 403 North Custer.
First Lieutenant Edward Martin, who has been in France for 18 months with Battery F of the 148th, has received his discharge from Fort Russell. He returned to Sheridan yesterday accompanied by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. L.E. Martin of Big Horn.
