Clearmont made good on a big scale with its first fair yesterday. A large crowd attended a splendid array of farm exhibits, classic sporting events including racing, bronco busting, bull-dogging, tractor demonstrations and many prize-winning contests.
A decision by Judge J.H. Burgess on the search and seizure clause of the prohibition law has been appealed to the supreme court by County Attorney M.L. Blake. The attorney for a defendant from whom a quantity of liquor was seized attacked the constitutionality of the law, and the judge sustained that stance and ordered the liquor returned to the defendant.
