Now here’s Sheridan Media’s look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on July 15, 1915.


C.A. Custis of Big Horn left today for a visit to Portland, Ore.

Earl Vincent, who deserted from the Twelfth cavalry at Fort Worth, Texas, 10 days ago, was arrested last night by police in Sheridan. He has been turned over to the military authorities here at Fort Mackenzie.

It has been learned in Sheridan today that there is no truth to the rumor that a shooting occurred at the Flying V Ranch in Montana. The rumor appears to have been started in Hardin.
