The school board has selected C.A. Randall as architect for the new Linden avenue school building in Sheridan. He is now working on sketches as a basis from which the board will adopt plans.
Seven blocks of water mains are still frozen in Sheridan, according to City Commissioner Poll, who is superintendent of the water department. However, he says the situation is entirely under control, and the breaks are being taken care of in all parts of the city as fast as they develop.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Smith narrowly escaped suffocation in a fire which badly damaged their home on Val Vista street at 7 this morning. The fire presumably had its origin from an overheated range.
