The D&D Hardware company has arranged to construct another row of hitching racks along the east side of the hitching lot 20 feet from the building. The space between the hitching posts will be used for displaying implements.
Governor Kendrick left for Cheyenne yesterday after spending a few days in Sheridan looking after interests in this vicinity.
Construction of the Sheridan gas plant began at 2:30 this afternoon when Mayor Church and Commissioner Poll, each armed with a new shovel, broke ground on the site of the plant at Burkitt and Canby. About a dozen people attended the event, including other city officials, members of the Commercial club and former mayor T.T. Tynan.
