A gale broke over Sheridan at 1 o’clock yesterday, attaining a velocity of 52 miles an hour for a 5-minute period at 3 o’clock and reaching the 60-mile mark at one time. The gale has continued ever since, although by noon today, it had subsided considerably.

Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Dickenson returned to their home at Alliance today after spending a week in Sheridan. They may decide to return to Sheridan to make their home.

A.F. Caron was re-elected mayor of Ranchester, and A.W. Schickley and S.C. Parson were elected councilmen at the town election, which was held yesterday. The candidates had no opposition, and only 25 votes were cast.
