Eighty percent of the beets in the Sheridan district are planted. The land is all ready, and the seed beds are in excellent condition. No replanting has been necessary as of this time.
Nine new teachers have been elected to positions in the city schools for 1916-17. All the places have been filled with the exception of three teachers to be selected in the near future.
Francis C. Williams is dismantling the frame building on his lot at 123 North Main street, and will begin construction of a modern one-story brick store building there at once. The building is to be completed by Aug. 1.
