Interest has recently been revived in the proposed straightening of Big Goose channel from the point of the spillway to the mill-race, to its junction with Little Goose at Dow street. The change would make possible the opening of Brooks street to Alger avenue, and Jefferson street to Lewis street.
The Commercial club will hold its regular monthly meeting at the Commercial club rooms tonight. Among matters to be considered will be a mountain automobile road.
Employees of the street department, working under direction of Commissioner Birkhaeuser, are engaged in painting the bridges in Sheridan.
