The matter of securing a convict gang for work on the Dayton mountain road now seems nearing a successful conclusion. Arrangements have been practically completed for the money needed for the Tongue River Good Roads Club and Sheridan Motor and Good Roads Club to pay into the county treasury. When that’s done, the commissioners will make application for the convicts.

The French inspection for war horses and mules will be at the Burlington Stock Yards tomorrow and the Polo Ranch on June 17. Buyers will pay $150 for heavy artillery horses, $125 for light gunners and $95 for cavalry.

Grant Lee has opened a shoe shop at the corner of Main and Second street, in the Model Coal office.
