Bob Beason of Gillette, in a sensational ride on Bishop Roan, won in the finals in the Sheridan Stampede bucking contest yesterday. Webber, riding a Harley-Davidson machine, won the 10-mile motorcycle race in 13 minutes and 2 seconds.
A temperature of 96 was recorded in Sheridan yesterday by the weather bureau. The hot, dry weather has caused the farmers to start irrigating heavily.
Reed’s in Sheridan is closing out its summer goods to make room for the new season. Waists and blouses, regularly $1.25 to $2.50 are now priced from 39 to 98 cents, and wash and mohair skirts are from 49 to 98 cents.
