The fire department was called out about 8:30 tonight to put out a blaze that started in the wood rip-rapping on the creek bank near the Pioneer laundry. The fire is believed to have started because of hot ashes piled against the rip-rapping.

The weather bureau reported a temperature of 95 at 6 o’clock this evening, at the end of a week of higher temperatures than Sheridan has experienced for several years.

The Scales Motor company unloaded eight Ford automobiles today. All have previously been sold.

W.J. Barker is in the city today from his ranch near Parkman.
