The programs at the chautauqua in Sheridan yesterday were well-attended and received well-merited appreciation. The afternoon program today consisted of a prelude by the Metropolitian musical men and a lecture by Miss Belle Kearney, who spoke on the European war.

A parrot is the latest addition to the big family of animals at the Pioneer Park zoo. The bird announced herself by shouting to Superintendent Loucks from the limbs of a tree Sunday morning. She has been put into the cage with the sparrow hawks.

Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Knight and Mrs. Knight’s mother, Mrs. S.E. Parsons of Ranchester, were in Sheridan today transacting business.
