The municipal tennis courts at Pioneer Park are being surfaced with clay, and will be ready to open to the public within the next few days.

If beets in the Sheridan district continue for the next two months to make the growth that they have up to the present time, a bumper crop will result. Samples collected at the company office, taken at random from various fields, indicate that prospects are unusually good.

The excavation began yesterday for the new Keenan building at the corner of Works and Main streets.

Dr. Crane and wife from Kooi were in Monarch Thursday exhibiting their new Ford touring car.

Dr. Nelson of Monarch has purchased a new Ford touring car.
