A Look Back in Time: Sept. 23, 1916

The first of the winter’s series of Elk dances was given yesterday evening and proved to be a most enjoyable affair. A large crowd was in attendance.

The greatest spiritualist entertainment in the country starts tomorrow night at the Orpheum theatre in Sheridan. The curtain goes up at 8:15 sharp. Remember, this isn’t a moving picture. Prices have been reduced to 25, 35 and 50 cents.

The third annual polo tournament will start tomorrow afternoon at the Polo ranch near Big Horn. Interest in the event is great, indicating a large attendance. The ground is in excellent condition, the ponies in fine condition and the players very fit.
