The temperature recorded at the weather bureau last night was 27 below zero, a record low for November. The previous record was on Nov. 12, 1913, when the mercury dropped to 15 below.

Ranchester is without water. There seems to be some trouble with the power plant at New Acme, and the town can’t pump water to fill the water tank.

Frost penetrated an off switch at the power house of the Sheridan County Electric company on Tongue River this morning, creating a short circuit which cut off Sheridan from light and power for about a half hour. Street and interurban cars were stalled, and machinery driven by electric power stopped until the trouble was remedied.
