Preston Wagner, the Sheridan county boy who carried off first honors in pork and crop production for the county and state this year, has received a letter of commendation and a check for $15 from the Duroc Jersey Swine Breeders association. The pig he raised in the contest was of the Duroc Jersey breed.

Alfred Maxwell of the Buffalo creek area was in Clearmont this week.

The altar boys of Holy Name church were entertained at Christmas dinner at the rectory Tuesday evening. Those present included James Spain, Theodore Harker, Leo Doyle, Godfrey Doyle, Leo Cusick and Joseph Meyer.
