Albert J. Barrett, the boy bandit whose spectacular getaway after his arrest for forgery created a sensation at the time, was sentenced in district court in Sheridan this forenoon to serve not less than eight years, nor more than 10, in the state penitentiary in Rawlings. The youth pleaded guilty to a charge of assault with intent to kill.

A country club with an adequate club house, golf links and other attractive features is promised for Sheridan in the near future as a result of a recent meeting called by Secretary Steele of the Commercial club.

Sheridan’s Golden Rule store has a beautiful new queen quality boot made of shoe soap kid, with Waldorf heel, specially priced at $5.75.
