There is deep sorrow among the animals at the zoo in Pioneer Park, for Old Abe, the big monkey that was a familiar sight to people visiting the zoo, is dead. Abe had been gradually declining in health for many months, and growing worse since early autumn. He is believed to have attained the age of almost 11 years.

The eighth grade pupils of the John S. Taylor school had charge of an interesting illustrated lecture on Yellowstone park at the school last night. Fifty beautifully colored slides were supplemented by numerous post card scenes, which were projected upon the screen.

Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Kibben were dinner guests tonight of Mr. and Mrs. F.C. Poll.
