Someone either carelessly or with malicious intent left the hydrant running on the municipal rink in Pioneer park Friday night, and about a fourth of the arena has been spoiled for skating because of the pile of ice which is formed. The rink will be unusable for the rest of the season.

Hats and caps suitable for skating and outing, regularly $1.25, are now on special for 50 cents at Reed’s in Sheridan.

After enjoying spring-like weather for a few days, the people of Sheridan are again to undergo the rigors of below-zero weather, according to a forecast received by the observer at the local weather bureau.
