A Look Back in Time: Feb. 2, 1917

Two men were killed and a Sheridan engineer severely injured at 4:30 this morning when two trains crashed about 40 miles north of Billings in Montana. One of the men killed was also a Sheridan resident. Forty-seven cars were derailed and an engine badly damaged in the collision.

About 50 members of the Commercial club attended a club dinner in the basement of the Congregational church last night. The program, while informal in nature, was exceedingly interesting, and the Circle of the church provided a very appetizing dinner.

Tom Short of Ranchester went over to Soldier Creek Saturday to bring in some cattle.
