Yesterday was a great day for Sheridan. In spite of drizzling rain, a great throng of patriotic people packed the station platform to cheer the naval recruits on their way. There were 24 young men representing Sheridan and nearly every one of the other towns in the county.
D.W. Jones, manager of the Sheridan Railway company, announced at the city council this morning that the company would start repair of the paving on the car track on Main street as soon as necessary materials arrive.
The chief of police has announced that chickens, ducks, geese and other fowl are not allowed to run at large within the city. A $10 fine will be imposed on anyone who permits them to do so.
