The town of Monarch has formed a patriotic fund and will present a gift of $10 to each man who enlists from Monarch. Five men from the camp have already received the $10 gift. The people of the town plan to give a dance and entertainment soon, with all proceeds to be turned over to the fund.
J.J. McDermott of Arvada came to Sheridan yesterday afternoon on business. He reports that more than a foot of snow fell at Arvada Sunday night.
J. Frank Owen of Dayton is transacting business and visiting friends in Sheridan.
It’s estimated that between 75 and 100 new automobiles have been shipped into Sheridan during the last two months.
