A Look Back in Time: June 20, 1917

Forty of Sheridan’s fairest daughters, garbed in the attire of Red Cross nurses, graced the stage of the Orpheum theater last night for the Red Cross meeting. Prior to the meeting, the collecting teams marched to the theater, headed by the band.

Big Horn Red Cross enthusiasts turned out splendidly for the meeting held there last night. The gathering was presided over by Willis Spear.

Tynan’s Orchestra will provide music for the big dance Saturday night at Ulm. Roads are in fine condition now. Admission to the dance will be $1.

Coffeen school pupil Paul Hammondtree won first prize in the local fly fighting competition, by killing more than 1,500 flies.
