Miss Lena Stover, who left for Seattle several days ago, successfully passed her examination for naval stenographer and has been rated chief yeoman. She has been assigned to a position in the naval yards at Bremerton, Wash.
A softball game will be played tomorrow at Ranchester for the benefit of the Red Cross. Ranchester will play the Eaton Dudes at the O-4 Bar ball park. A good attendance is hoped for.
Mrs. George Lord extended the hospitality of her home to 40 ladies Friday and yesterday afternoon to allow them the opportunity to renew or make the acquaintance of her son’s wife, Mrs. Edwin Lord.
