There are still several vacancies left in the National Guard, Headquarters Company. Positions needed include 10 mounted men for Headquarters Company, four men for clerks at headquarters, and 15 men for the band.
Carl Garretson, his wife and little girl are now in Oregon, on their way to the California coast. They are traveling in Mr. Garretson’s Ford, and latest advice is that they were making good time and having no trouble.
Great excitement may be expected at the ball game on Sunday between the Buffalo and Sheridan fat men. Pete Pelissier and Bill Bodeman, in addition to serving on the field with Sheridan, will also dispense soda pop.
