Two men suspected of being German spies were arrested by police in Sheridan this morning, and turned over to the military authorities. They appear to be about 24 and 26 years old, but when they were arrested, no registration cards were found among their effects. The men have been around Sheridan and Sheridan County off and on since spring.
The first 40 men from Sheridan County to be drafted into the new National Army have now been selected. Forty-three are needed on this call.
E.W. King, Will and Myrtle King, all of Carroll, were visitors to Sheridan Saturday.
