Advance Therapy has announced that they will have free developmental screenings for children aged 0-10 years old beginning at 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., Saturday, April 16.
Pediatric Occupational Therapist Bri Dandrea and Speech Therapist with Connect Speech Therapy Chelsea Paulus will screen children for a variety of developmental delays and age equivalent skill development.
According to Advanced Therapy, all children who arrive will be screened, and helpful suggestions will be discussed with parents. There is no cost for these screenings. Snacks will be provided. The event will be held at 727 E. Brundage Ln, Suite L (located upstairs) in Sheridan.
According to the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders, Nearly 1 in 12 (7.7%) U.S. children ages 3-17 has had a disorder related to voice, speech, language, or swallowing in the past 12 months.
