Johnson County Healthcare Center CEO Luke Senden, during their recent meeting, gave an update to the hospital board on the status of the ongoing capital construction project at the facility.
Senden said that Dan Odasz with Plan One Architects, who is in charge of the project, has given him an improved timeline for the overall project.
Senden explained that construction can’t begin on Phase III, which is the inpatient space, until the nurses’ station and new patient rooms are up and operational.
It has become Phase III due to moving up the renovations to the clinic and physical therapy areas in the timeline.
Senden said the changes in the timeline will hopefully mean construction crews will be on-site for less time and that will end up saving the healthcare center on costs in the long run.
