The annual City/County Spring Celanup Days have been set for this year, and were announced at the recent Johnson County Commission and Buffalo City Council meetings.
Commissioner Bob Perry said the dates are May 18, 19, 20, and 21.
Vouchers issued by the county and city allow residents to take their trash, garbage and other unwanted items to the county landfill for free, with local governments picking up the bill.
Commission Chair Bill Novotny asked Perry to explain more about how the voucher system works.
The vouchers are good for as many free trips to the landfill that the holder wishes to make during the cleanup, but must be presented at each trip to the landfill, or the person will be charged for that load.
