A person who was recently arrested in Buffalo has commended both the police department and the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office for their professionalism and compassion in the incident.

The arrest was reported by Buffalo Police Chief Sean Bissett during this week’s city council meeting.

Bissett explained they received a call about a domestic problem where a subject was intoxicated and suicidal.

Bissett explained the subject, through his probation officer, commended law enforcement’s actions.

Bissett added that people can become jaded when dealing with violent crime in these kinds of incidents, but the officers and deputies involved in this incident took the extra time with the person and had a positive outcome.
