The Johnson County Cemetery District Board, at their regular meeting Tuesday, approved their preliminary budget for Fiscal Year 2022-23.
Treasurer John Ehlers gave a report on the budget, explaining projections for revenue, expenses and capital outlay expenditures for the coming year.
The board voted to move $75,000 from their capital outlay planning reserves into their FY2022-23 preliminary budget to begin the columbarium project, should they decide to move forward with that project.
The preliminary budget that was passed shows projected revenues of roughly $473,000 and total expenditures of $503,000 with the difference being made up from reserves to balance the budget.
