The Sheridan Community Land Trust is inviting community members to experience the wonder of Red Grade Trails at two upcoming events that are free to attend.
Join Bomber Mountain Cycling Club, Sheridan Community Land Trust and Sheridan Bicycle Company for a Mountain Bike Discovery Night Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. June 28. All levels and ages of riders are welcome – from beginner to intermediate and expert. SCLT asks that attendees please bring their bike, helmet and water. All ages and experience levels are welcome. There will be a beginner and intermediate group. Attendees are asked to meet at Base Trailhead at 6 p.m.
On Thursday, June 30, Science Kids and Sheridan Community Land Trust invite the public to Pack Your Own Picnic (P.Y.O.P.) and enjoy a summer supper with a view. After eating, join Dr. Julie Rieder of Science Kids for this family-friendly hour of sleuthing while wildflowers are in bloom. Families will use all of their senses to discover things green, fuzzy, squishy, prickly, fragrant, messy, and delightful, as you walk along Red Grade Trail spying flowers, birds, bugs and wildlife big and small.
The All Senses Scavenger Hunt will be held from 6-7 p.m. SCLT is asking attendees to meet at Red Grade Trails Base Trailhead parking lot. This event is free to attend. SCLT advises that people dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes. Leashed pets are welcome.
