The Clearmont Halloween Trunk and Treat drew many strange creatures looking for treats. There were cheerleaders, unicorns, death goats, dinosaurs, clowns and a host of other youngsters and grown-ups in costumes.
Tiffany Lewis, who brought the decorated Clown Car SUV and her entire family in clown costumes, commented on Trunk or Treat.

Another SUV was decorated with spider webs, spiders, skeletons and pumpkins.

Amy Rowe, organizer of the event, said she felt the event was starting out well.

Some cars were not decorated, but Rowe said next year she hopes to have a trunk decorating contest to bring in more decorated cars and advertise more for the Women’s Club Pumpkin Carving competition.
The jumping spider at Clearmont Library
A spider jumped out of a box to scare people at the Clearmont Community Center and Library. Librarian Tammy Buss said the plastic spider legs felt very real on her fingers. And once again Spidey came out of his lair and grabbed unwary fingers at the Clearmont Historical Center.

Ira Roadifer, as Uncle Sam, enjoyed scaring the kids with Spidey again this year.

Rowe said this about plans for next year.
Town Hall and the Clear Creek Stop were both open to trick or treaters as well.
