The latest Consumer Price Index (CPI) released Thursday revealed that inflation has risen 13.9 percent since President Joe Biden took office in January of 2021. U.S. Senator John Barrasso, (R-WY), Chairman of the Senate Republican Conference said everyday life is too expensive for working families in Wyoming and across the country.

In a statement released in response to the latest CPI, Barrasso said costs remain at a 40-year high because of wasteful Washington spending and a war on American energy led by President Biden. He added that we can lower costs by unleashing domestic energy, cutting punishing regulations, and stopping runaway government spending and it’s time for Democrats to work with the Republicans to help American families.
