Jennifer McCormick, with the Longmire Foundation, gave the Buffalo City Council an overview of their 2022 celebration from this past summer, saying the events went well and that the foundation was able to make some substantial donations to charitable organizations.

McCormick said the start of Longmire Days 2022 had a rocky beginning due to trouble getting actor Robert Taylor out of Australia due to COVID travel concerns, but were able to eventually get him to Buffalo.

She said many attendees at this year’s event were first-timers, which means there is still enough interest from the public to continue with the event in the future.

She discussed who the foundation would be donating funds to from this year’s Longmire Days.

McCormick said Puppies Behind Bars is a national organization that trains comfort dogs, explosive detection dogs for police and military, and service dogs for veterans and first responders.
