Dangerously Cold Temperatures Expected for Sheridan County

Temperatures and wind chills will be dangerously low this week in Sheridan County and the surrounding region. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

An arctic cold front has brought frigid air to northeast Wyoming. Shawn Palmquist is a Meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Billings and he says that we can expect temperatures to be dangerously low for most of the week.

Occasional light snow is expected as well, with anywhere from 1 to 3 inches of accumulation possible over the next several days. Palmquist talked about what’s behind the less than favorable weather conditions.

Palmquist said temperatures will return to normal this weekend with a forecasted high of 33 on Saturday and lower to mid 40’s expected for Christmas. Cold weather safety tips and precautions can be found here.
