Jody Sauers and Jon Cordonier with the Johnson County Tourism Association (JCTA), updated the Buffalo City Council on what they have been up to recently, and what plans they have for the near future.
Sauers said the organization is still searching for a marketing/administration person and hope to have someone in place soon.
They are also recruiting members to fill positions on a new board.
She said they are working with other local organizations and have plans to hopefully soon have their own office space.
Cordonier talked about the reason for the tourism association and what they need to do for the community.
He said getting visitors to make those decisions to come to Buffalo before they get here requires a different marketing approach.
The JCTA is working with and will partner with a marketing agency to make those changes to focus on those potential visitors.
