Crago On Property Tax Constitutional Amendment

State Representative Bary Crago (R-Johnson, Sheridan Counties), in his weekly legislative session update with Sheridan Media, talked about property tax reform, and specifically House Joint Resolution 2 (HJ0002), which was a Constitutional amendment to set residential property in it own separate property tax assessment subclass.

The Joint Resolution was explained by Crago.

Crago said since it was a Constitutional amendment it takes two-thirds of the House to pass, which did not happen.

Crago voted for the bill, but it ultimately failed.
